Bloosom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming Essence Serum
First, let me talk about this pretty pink packaging. It is a glass pipette bottle that looks luxurious and elegant. It has a slightly oily, thick and sticky texture. A little goes a long way; I only need 2 to 3 drops of serum for my face and neck. When I open the bottle, this serum has an amazing jasmine scent. I still can smell it after I applied it on my skin. But don’t worry; it is not like the overpowering smell, it is a nice and relaxing aroma. It disappears after a few minutes. This is one of my Holy Grail serums that go along with anything in my skincare routine.
How I use it:
Double cleanse my face first, then continue with sulwhasoo first care serum and toner. While my face still drenches with toner, I put 2 to 3 drops of Bloosom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming Essence Serum on my palm then rub both of my hands then gently tap it off my face and neck. Toner helps the absorption of the product, making it less sticky. Sometime if when I feel lazy I would just put on moisturizer and go to bed. But most of the time I would use a sheet mask after I put Bloosom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming Essence Serum for 20 minutes. And add moisturizer as the last step.
I tried using it in the morning, but for my oily skin, using it in the morning is too much. Even though I only mix 1 drop into my moisturizer, it makes me too oily during the day.
Bloosom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming Cream
I fall in love with Bloosom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming Essence Serum, so I decided to try the moisturizer from the same line. The packaging is similar to the serum one, elegant glass jar with a pink and white color combination. It also has that same jasmine scent that so soothing. The cream is thick, not oily and super moisturizing for my oily skin. It is not sticky at all. I use this interchangeably with my Clinique moisture surge, especially when my skin is in its normal condition or when it is dehydrated.
How I use it:
Just like any other moisturizer, I use it as the last layer that seals everything. The texture is creamy. When I have acne, I tend to not use this because it will be too rich and clogging my acne. On days I exfoliate my skin, I will add my sulwhasoo sleeping mask on top of my Bloosom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming Cream. Yes, it feels sticky, but it works on my skin and did not break me out. To be honest, I don’t like this glass jar. Because when I almost finish the cream, it is hard to reach the curve part of the jar with my spatula (the product does not come with a spatula). I had to dig in with my finger and that is not hygienic. I rather choose the eye cream jar with less curve side.
Bloosom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming eye gel cream
The serum and the cream already very expensive, and I have been eyeing this eye cream for so long. I did not buy it until I saw a huge sale on this product, the seller sells it for half price simply because the eye cream will expire within 5 months. My thrifty spirit emerges and buys it right away without thinking twice. I was like “I have nothing to lose; if it didn’t work on me at least I didn’t waste too much money on it”. It turns out great. This eye cream is one of the best eye creams I ever tried.
One of my favorite eye creams. It has thick texture but feels light. The texture is gel like but creamier. Slightly stick but it absorbs easily to the skin. it does a good job on hydrating the eye are. It has jar packaging and it expired in 6 months just like the most eye cream. This eye cream has a really nice soothing smell, which adds a skintainment (skincare entertainment) factor when using it. It does not cause milia on my eye area and it improves the skin firmness. Even though the texture is thick, I use this eye cream in my day and night routine; there is no problem of stickiness in day time use. This eye cream is used more for an anti-aging purpose; however, it will not help with dark circle problem. Sometimes I applied this eye cream on my wrinkle spots, between my eyebrows or on my smile lines. Just like the serum and the cream, the hefty price tag is worth the splurge if you interested in buying this eye cream
The cons:
Since it is a luxury product, the prices are quite expensive for both products. But, it’s worth every penny. The price is Rp880.000 or about $64 on glowrecipe website for the serum and around Rp. 1.200.000 for the cream.
All of The Bloosom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming product has a pretty and chic design but all of the packagings are made of glass and it is bulky. It looks gorgeous on your vanity, however, it is difficult to travel with because the bottle is a little bit heavy too. I can’t imagine traveling with these products at the same time.
The availability of the products is rather difficult to find in Indonesia, you might have to pre-order it online and had to wait for about a month or so. Lately, this product is not really hyped up anymore, and not many people talk about it as much but it really is a high-quality product.
The Pro:
I love this serum and cream for its moisturizing and anti-aging benefit. Together these products are a powerful combo. In the morning when I wake up, my face feels so hydrated, plum and glowing. For the anti-aging part, it does slightly smooth my wrinkle and helps my face looking fresh and youthful. It also helps to keep my skin balance when I use BHA treatment or over exfoliating my skin.
Blossom Jeju had 2 other products from this line that I haven’t try, the toner and face oil. I am very curious about face oil. Bloosom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Blooming Essence Serum and eye cream last longer because I only need a little for an application. But for the cream, I usually finish up within 2-3 months, and of course, will repurchase it again and again.
