The claim:
It works to cool down the skin temperature and nourish it with nutrient rich concentrated extracts from the sprouts of 6 different types of green that are high in vitamins, minerals and enzymes. It also contains Niacinamide to brighthen up the skin and provide anti-aging effects. It’s perfect to soothe and calm irritated skin and skin that’s overheated from sun exposure.
My Review:
I think I already mention that,if there is 1 skincare product that I find difficult to suits my skin, it is moisturizer. My go to moisturizer is the Clinique Moisture Surge extended thirst for 5 years, and now the upgraded version is the Clinique Moisture Surge 72- Hour Gel Cream still works great on my skin. And my night time moisturizer is the Blossom Jeju Pink Camelia Soombi blooming flower cream. I never change moisturizer, because when I try to find an alternative moisturizer, I failed. When I thought I find the blossom jeju moisturizer replacement (I was using SKINRx Lab MadeCera Cream for a while), it is not as versatile as the blossom jeju moisturizer.
I choose to try the iUnik centella calming gel cream because it contain 70% of Cantella Asiatica Leef Water. Cantella Asiatica is one of my favorite skincare ingredient, so I give it a try. The moisturizer has a light gel consistency, it also has slightly cooling effect upon application. As I live in tropical country, this moisturizer is very suitable for hot weather since it is also help to calm your skin. It absorbs fast and does not leave a sticky feeling. The moisturizer does not irritate my skin.
You can layer this moisturizer with anything and it does not feel heavy. The tube packaging is very travel friendly and hygienic compare to my Clinique Moisture Surge 72- Hour Gel Cream jar packaging.
For people with very oily skin will find this iUnik centella calming gel cream very pleasant. However, for people with dry to very dry skin will not like this moisturizer. This iUnik centella calming gel cream will not give enough moisture to people who have dry to very dry skin. I have oily dehydrated skin. When my skin is lacking of moisture I prefer using the Clinique Moisture Surge instead. Compare to Clinique Moisture Surge, iUnik centella calming gel cream is not as moisturizing. I still love it though. When my skin is red, iUnik centella calming gel cream helps to soothe it. The price is also affordable and it has 60 ml of product. It is a great everyday moisturizer for me. I only use this moisturizer in the morning time. I use it at night occasionally, because like I said not enough moisture to be use as a night cream (although you can totally use it as night cream). For me, I like to use a more intense moisturizer like the Blossom Jeju Pink Camelia Soombi blooming flower cream at night. As for the anti-aging claim, I did not notice anything. No plumping on the skin nor reducing fine lines after using iUnik centella calming gel cream
