I love a good rose jelly wash-off mask. When I see Eileen Grace Moisturize Rose Jelly Mask, I am was intrigue. I saw a lot of influencers talks about this jelly mask, and the review of it are so positive. It comes in such a huge amount of product of 300 ml. I thought it is such a good deal. When I check out Shopee, it has been selling thousands of pieces. When I see it on sale, I quickly purchase it.
I was so excited when Eileen Grace Moisturize Rose Jelly Mask come. I try the product right away on the next day. I like that the jelly mask comes with a spatula, it really helps with the product application. The texture is like a dense gel that you can spread in thin or thick layers depends on your liking. It smelly rosy, quite noticeable but not bothersome scent. When applied to the face it feels so nice and cool, even better when you put it in the fridge. The jelly mask also relaxing. It is suggested to leave it on for 15-20 minutes then rinse it off.
Rinsing it off is a little bit tricky. Unlike the body shop British rose mask that you can remove easily using water, Eileen Grace Moisturize Rose Jelly Mask must be scrap off using the spatula to remove the thick layer. After you scrape it off, then use water to cleanse the remaining residue on the skin.
My skin feels so fresh, soft, and moisturize after using this mask. My skin complexion looks brighter too. It says that this jelly mask also helps calm your skin when it is breaking out and soothe existing acne. I feel hopeful, I thought I have found my holy grail rose jelly mask. I use it again after 2 days. I use it every 2 days, for a total of 5 times uses. Then the nightmare comes.
I started breaking out. Pimples are popping out on my skin. At first, I don’t understand why, then when I am thinking about it the only new product, I use at that time was this jelly mask. I try to use it again one more time to see whether this mask is really the cause. 2 days after that another acne shows up. The breakout is so hard to get rid of, the acne just continues to inflame, red and painful. It took me weeks try to calm my skin. So sad, I was really hoping it matches well with my skin.
That’s the thing about skincare, even though it seems to work well on many people does not mean it will also suitable for your skin. There is still plenty of product left in the jar, I can’t just throw it like that. Now I am using it as a wash-off mask for my hands instead. Lesson learned I should have purchased the traveling size first before committing to the full size especially when the full-size contain 300 ml of product.
