My Review:

I have a problem with back acne for a couple of years now, I struggle a lot to get rid of it. It seems to never really go away, it was getting better after I had chemical peeling on my back a few months ago. But lately, I don’t know why the acne on my back started to appear again. And in appear in lots of small, red and painful bump. I have been looking for a serum to tackle my backne blemish other than my trusted Kypris clearing serum. I can’t use the Kypris clearing serum on my back, it is too pricey. Besides, I tried it before and strangely it does not work so well on my back.

So, I decided to try it to use this Isoi blemish care serum II. I apply the serum on the acne part only, not the entire back. I was not hoping much. But then I am so surprised that after 5 days of applying the serum on my back, my painful backne started to get better. The serum reduced the inflammation and the acne is not as red anymore. I am amazed to see how fast this serum work on my backne.

After that, I started to use Isoi blemish care serum II on my face. I got acne every now and then, especially that time of the month. Lately, there are small bumps on my skin, but not acne and my cheeks keep getting red in the night time. I think it is due to trying out new products and my skin has become more sensitive. I am loving the gel texture as you can see in the picture. It is very easy to apply. It has a slightly fresh rose scent.

When I first apply the serum on my face, it was light, watery gel texture and very easy to absorb. It has a rosy smell. The packaging is a glass jar though, not really travel-friendly.

I notice that alcohol is mentioned in the first third ingredients list. Some people might have a problem with a serum that contains alcohol, but my skin does not have a problem with alcohol. FYI, I also use a sunblock that contains alcohol but doing just fine on my skin. Alcohol can also be the reason for the fast absorption and can feel a little too drying if you apply the serum right after double cleanse your skin like I did. But you can immediately follow up with toner and moisturizer.

This serum also contains my favorite ingredient Centella Asiatica Extract and arbutin. Both of this ingredient works very well on my skin. As Centella Asiatica Extract is anti-inflammatory to soothe acne and arbutin which is a natural skin lightening/whitening agent.

It does work well on my face as well as on my back. The benefit also the same, it calms down my acne and it gives a brightening effect to my face. I am happy that I can replace my Kypris clearing serum with this Isoi blemish care serum II to combat acne. It is not exactly a dupe since the two serum is not similar, but in terms of fighting acne, it is as effective but not as pricey as Kypris clearing serum. I am very happy to find this blemish care serum.
