My skin is a bit dull lately and seems so lackluster. I need a boost of vitamin C serum to brighten up my complexion. I finish up my Mario Badescu vitamin C serum, so I try a new vitamin C product, the Skeyndor Pure Vitamin C Intense Recovery Factor. This is a powder type of vitamin C serum. The first time I do in using this product is press hard on the bottle cap until the vitamin C powder released and mix up with serum liquid, then we shake the bottle until it mixed well. Then switch the cap with the pipette dropper that comes with the product.
Unlike my favorite vitamin c serum, the Mario Badescu vitamin C serum, Skeyndor Pure Vitamin C Intense Recovery Factor color is yellow. Usually, vitamin c serums I have used before always transparent have no color at all, and when it starts to turn a yellowish color that is when I know that the serum has oxidized. An oxidized serum means that it is no longer effective for your skin.
Skeyndor Pure Vitamin C Intense Recovery Factor has an yellow color from the start. It smells like fresh orange and the serum texture is thicker than Mario Badescu’s vitamin C serum. It feels airy and light. It absorbs fast too.
The Skeyndor vitamin C serum must be finish within 10 days to get the maximum benefit of the product. 12 ml of product is quite a lot to finish in 10 days, so I use it day and night. In the morning I use it on dry skin after I wash my face. Vitamin C should always be the first product to apply after cleansing. Application is fairly easy; I feel a bit of sting on my skin after application. But it goes away in a few minutes. Since it is only for 10 days, I simplify my skincare routine to only double cleanse – Skeyndor vitamin C serum (wait for 20 minutes)- toner- moisturizer (at night) and face wash- Skeyndor vitamin C serum (wait for 10 minutes)- toner- moisturizer-sunscreen (in the morning) to see how effective it works on my skin. The waiting period is shorter in the morning just because I don’t have much time in the morning.
Just to be clear, I wait for 20 minutes not because the Skeyndor Pure Vitamin C is not absorbing well on my skin. If you haven’t understood yet, vitamin C serum is an exfoliating serum and it is acidic. It will be best to wait for a while to make sure it sinks into your skin. Additionally, it is important to apply it on dry skin. Not a damp or even wet skin, as it will reduce the absorption of vitamin c serum. The same goes with other exfoliating products like BHA and retinol. If you have time, 20 minutes wait is better than 10 minutes. Perhaps not longer than 20 minutes, as I am sure your skin will feel very dry after 20 minutes.
Skeyndor Pure Vitamin C Intense Recovery Factor contains 6% of pure vitamin C. I am very happy with the result of this product. My skin looks brighter and has a healthy glow throughout the day. I have some PIH on my chin, it helps to fade the acne scar around my chin. Lighten it up faster than usual. Typically, it takes 3 to 4 months to turn a reddish or darker color of acne scar on my face to lighten, and within 10 days it gets lighter faster. Of course, you cannot expect it to completely erase acne scars in 10 days.
One thing that is unique about this Skeyndor Pure Vitamin C Intense Recovery Factor is when you finish up 1 bottle, you must have a break from the product for about 2 weeks. Then you can continue with the second bottle. I purchase only 1 bottle, to see whether it works on my skin or not. It did not disappoint. Next time I will purchase the bundle of 3 bottles instead. As people with oily skin who are often prone to a dull complexion, so Vitamin C is a very important must-have product for me.
Skeyndor Pure Vitamin C Intense Recovery Factor is practical. You only need 10 days for it to work its magic, and you don’t have to worry about the freshness of the vitamin c serum. I am thinking of using it once a month for 10 days, then use other exfoliating products like BHA and retinol then go back to it again the next month for 10 days.
