My review:

Another day, trying out another vitamin C serum. It looks like for me, there is no suitable vitamin C serum with an “affordable” price tag that gives me a great result. A great vitamin C serum with amazing results is just not cheap. This time I try my luck with Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C. It is a product from France. I first know about this vitamin C serum from my sister, she was using it and I see her skin is noticeably glowing. The problem is my sister has a dry skin type, while I have oily skin. My sister said the Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C is pretty gentle on her skin. Additionally, Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C turns out to be safe for sensitive skin. It contains 75% of natural vitamin C and 25% of stabilizing vitamin C complex.  So, I decided to give it a try.

Initially, I was a little taken aback by the strong orange zest smell of it. It is not bad; I am not bothered by it. The texture is like watery gel and the color of Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C is orange just like the packaging color. Don’t panic when you see orange color, it does not mean the serum is already oxidized. It is just the original color of the serum. A little goes a long way with this watery gel serum. you need to be careful tho when pressing the pump, to get a proper amount of serum. Put your finger right under the pump hole, sometimes when my fingers are a bit far from the pump, the serum just dripping in the wrong direction. The packaging is sturdy and made out of glass, so be careful not to drop it on the floor.

When applied to my face, I only feel a slight tingling which disappears quickly. I use it during the nighttime, right after my double cleansing, and on dry skin. I leave it for about 15 minutes before continuing with the rest of my night skincare routine.

I did try to use it in my morning skincare routine, unfortunately, Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C does not go along well with my sunscreen. When I try to use Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C in the morning, by the end of the day when I finish my double cleansing, I find that my skin had tiny bumps. There is no problem when I use it at night, so I only use it at night. Skincare is like that, you have to try different ways of using it into your routine, see where it fits before drawing a conclusion of a product.

I have been using it for two months now, and let me tell you it gets the job done. My previous PIH and PIE have noticeably lightened. As you can see from my picture below. Compare to timeless vitamin C, Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C reduce hyperpigmentation faster. My skin also looks brighter overall. Here are the picture when I started using it there is a fresh new pimple that just pop and leave its mark. And a picture of the acne scare 2 months after I use Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C consistently. The scar ligthen up, along with my previous acne scar on the chin.

When I start using Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C

2 months after using Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C

I think I like Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C better than my beloved Mario Badescu Vitamin C serum. The formulation is just as effective plus it comes in pump bottle packaging which is more hygienic than pipette dropper. Both have a similar price point. Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C’s only downside perhaps is you cannot tell whether the serum has oxidized or not when you have not used it for a while, since the serum color is already orange. However, you can avoid such a thing by using it up to 3 to 6 months after opening the Novexpert Booster Serum Vitamin C. Always remember to write the date of product opening on a label then stick it to the product packaging so you would remember how long you have been using the product and knows when it expired.
