I have been eyeing this device for a long time, the purchase is always delayed because it is expensive and I need to think about it over a lot of time. In the meantime I also considering similar led masks from other brands. I have some criteria in choosing a Led mask, and I find Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWareis the most suitable for me. The number one reason why I am choosing Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare is that it only requires 3 minutes in each use. I love a short yet effective Led mask. Another reason is that Dr. Dennis Gross has a good quality product. I own DR Dennis Gross SpectraLite EyeCare Pro LED Device for 3 years now, and it still working properly, there has been no issue or error in the device. I assume the Led face mask will have the same quality.
Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare includes a detachable and adjustable head silicon strap charger, manual book, warranty card, a white bag to carry the mask during traveling. The silicon strap is actually useless, it never holds the Led mask properly. Unlike the eye Led mask, Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare uses a type C charger.
How to use:
Simply put the mask on your clean and dry face, preferably in a laying down position. Then press the button on the upper part of the mask. Press once for a red light, twice for blue lights, and press 3 times for the combination of red and blue lights. Wait for 3 minutes until the lights automatically turn off. Since I have 2 Led masks; DR Dennis Gross SpectraLite EyeCare Pro LED and Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare, I use the Led face mask first then continue with the eye Led mask. How do I know this? I ask the customer service on the web, and they recommended using both one after another.
The Design
Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare design is the best I have seen compared to other Led masks. It looks like an elegant sophisticated robot face with a rose gold and white color combination. On the inside of the mask, there are 162 LED bulbs, a combination between 100 LED lights in red mode, and 62 LED lights in blue mode. There is a layer of thick, smooth and comfortable transparent silicon that covers the Led lights.
The Battery
Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare battery performs better than R Dennis Gross SpectraLite EyeCare Pro LED Device. It charges faster too. The battery can last up to 3 weeks even with everyday usage. You can use your phone charger too.
The Lights
There are 3 options of Led light of the mask, Red light anti-aging mode, blue light acne-fighting mode, and combined red and blue light mode. There is no eye protection in Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare like some other Led mask, but I have no problem with my eyesight when using it and after using it. I have tried a Led mask-like Neutrogena Visibly Clear Light Therapy Acne Mask Kit that really feels uncomfortable for my eyes. Compare to that, Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare is safe to use.
When there is acne about to appear on my skin, I use the blue light mode for a few days until the acne no longer seems about to pop. I can also use the combination of red and blue light for acne, but the blue light is more targeted for acne than when it is combined with red lights.
The Results:
I gotta say, what they claimed to be the result of regular use of Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare is true! I love this Led mask so much. I use the Led mask every day in the morning time after cleanse my skin and patting it dry. I use the Led face mask first then follow up with the eye Led mask. I use mostly red light and blue light only when I am having a break out on my skin. After finishing using both masks, I will continue my morning skincare routine as usual, with toner-serum-moisturizer-sunscreen. I have been using After using Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare since late September 2021. During my period my skin is calmer, fewer red pimples show up on my chin (I usually have one or two pimples show up on my chin). Even when acne is about to form on my face, the use of blue light on this mask helps to reduce it a lot. However, I think Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare can only help with light to medium cane problems. I am not sure about the severe acne problems.
I notice that my skin clarity is improving, and it helps even out my skin tone. Overall, my face looks fresher, clearer, and smoother with this Led mask.
The cons
The price is expensive, and if you are in Indonesia, make sure that the price the online shop offers already includes shipping and tax. Try to ask a few trustworthy online shops and compare the prices.
Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLit FaceWare does not fit all types of faces. On me, it is a little bit big. On the nose and chin part is cannot stick properly. The closer your skin to the Led light the better it will penetrate into your skin. Even when I lay down, the nose part is just too far from my nose. lol.
You have to prepare a space to store this Led mask. I am using its original box to store the mask in the drawer. So the mask remains clean and well-shaped. It is quite big and bulky, you will need to clear out some space to keep it safe.
Tips:
Just lay down when you are using it. It only takes 3 minutes. relax and close your eyes while using it. I never walk around or sit down when using this. Even though it can be done, it is just inconvenient.
Additionally, if you are using retinol the night before, it will be better not to use any Led mask on the next day, as the skin can be more sensitive towards the Led lights after the use of retinol.
