I purchase the limited edition Peter Thomas Roth Mask Mashup from Sephora. I have wanted to try Peter Thomas Roth masks, but it is a quite expensive product. So when I see this mask mashup, I instantly purchase it. The products include 6 types of masks from Peter Thomas Roth and it contains 14 ml of product in each mask. It is just like buying samples for $25.
Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask
At first, I used this mask for only 3 minutes. I’ve read the instruction to leave it on for 7 minutes. But, upon application, this mask freaks me out 😩😩 as it tingles and I feel it burns my skin. I was so afraid that it would harm my skin, I immediately wash off the mask before the suggested time.
After I rinse off the mask, the burning feeling was better. Then I put on another wash off mask, I chose a hydrating wash off mask to get rid of the tingling sensation.
I was anticipating my skin get irritated, red and blotchy. But luckily nothing happen. The pumpkin enzyme mask didn’t break me out either.
After 1 week, I gave it another chance. When I used it for the second time. The burn sensation doesn’t felt as harsh as the first time, it is still tingling but not that bad. And I endure using this 7-8 minutes
I notice my skin get brighter, smoother and even toned after using the mask. I think someone with sensitive skin should go slowly with this mask. Because the burn sensation is quite bad, but I guess that’s how u know the mask is working. The mask has sort of pumpkin pie smell, I like it. I use it in the morning time, sometimes at night. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen in the morning, as the exfoliating product will make your skin more sensitive to the sun.
This mask is a great weekly treatment to brighten up my skin. I will definitely continue using this. And still considering to purchase the full size, since it is a pricey mask. Now I used Use it for 10 minutes and continue it with hydrating wash off mask just to calm my skin
I only use it once a week. I don’t use it more than once a week as it will overly dry up my skin. And I avoid using my other acid one day before I use this mask to avoid over exfoliating
It is good to try the sample size first to see whether you can tolerate the burning sensation of this mask before trying the full size that cost $58, it is almost Rp 1.000.000 if you buy it in an online shop. So far I am enjoying Peter Thomas Roth pumpkin enzyme mask.
Peter Thomas Roth the Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme De-Tox™ Hydrator
This mask is the best hydrating mask I have tried so far. It has gel texture and a nice scent. When applied on the face, the mask gives cooling sensation and felt so refreshing. It is even better if you put the mask in the fridge and use it on a hot day. It will soothe your skin. I like to put a thick layer of this mask and leave it for 15-20 minutes. This cucumber mask also perfectly combines with the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. After a burning and tingling sensation using the enzyme mask for 10 minutes, I rinse it off and follow it up with the cucumber mask. It gives added moisture after an exfoliating treatment. After using the cucumber mask, my skin is calm and well moisturize, the hydrating effect also last pretty well throughout the day. Unlike the pumpkin enzyme mask, I can use this 2-3 times a week. I finish up the 14 ml product faster than I thought.
Peter Thomas Roth the 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Mask
I have mixed feeling about this mask. I just started to use it twice. This mask is the most expensive Peter Thomas Roth mask. In full size of 150 ml, Peter Thomas Roth the 24K Gold cost is $80. The texture is like a thick gel with a pretty gold color and luxurious gold sparkle. It is said to have an anti-aging benefit and helps to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Well, with 2 times using this mask I have not yet to see it help to reduce my fine lines. This mask does not have a particular smell. Upon application, it does not have a tingling or cooling sensation. On my skin, it gives me subtle “glow from within”. I use it for more than 10 minutes as it suggested; since it is pricey I like to use it longer to get the most benefit on my skin. LOL. The gold mask does not break me out and perhaps it needs to be worn more often to see the anti-aging benefit. I will not buy the full-size gold mask because of its way out of my budget. At that price, I prefer getting a facial treatment or a beauty tool instead.
Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask
I do not like this mask. At first, I thought this mud mask is going to be amazing, an alternative to May Lindstrom the problem solver, in terms of purifying my pores. the texture is thick and a little bit sticky. The application is easy and smooth. I use it for 10 minutes. Washing off this mask is a bit difficult, I have to rub several times until it comes off. this mask irritates my skin, there are tiny bumps appear on my cheeks in the next morning after I used this mask. I tried the second time and my skin reacts the same as the first time. So I will not use it anymore.
Out of all the mask in the bundle, my least favorite mask is the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask and Blue Marine Algae Mask. On the other hand, my favorites are the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, the Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme De-Tox™ Hydrator, and the 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Mask. I did not review the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Steam Cell Bio-Repair Gel mask (the pink one) because I have not tried it yet.
If you have been wanted to try the Peter Thomas Roth mask, this mask bundle is definitely worth trying to see which mask suit your skin the best. Additionally, If I ever want to purchase the full-size product, I will go for Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask and Peter Thomas Roth the Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme De-Tox™ Hydrator.
