My Review:
My ultimate favorite clay mask is from Mamonde since it is already discontinued I am seeking its replacement. I find Lush magnamity mask is refreshing but the shelve live is too short, you can read about the Lush magnamity mask in here The Must Have Lush Mask. Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask is just right, giving you enough time to finish is before it is expired after product opening. I use it for one or two times a week. I use this mask in the morning before I wash my face to remove the oil on my face from the skincare on the previous night.
I really like Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask. The mask is easy to apply with fingers (scoop it out with spatula first). A little goes a long way. It is so quick to dry out, it only took 10 minutes. If you applied too thick, the mask takes a longer time to dry. However, is not necessary. When it dries down it does not feel like its tugging your skin. The mask is also easy to wash off; you can rub it down slowly with your hand, washcloth or soak cotton with water and wipe it off. Then continue it with face wash. Compare to The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask, which is annoying to clean off and it feels super tight after it dries down. I am not a fan of The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask.
Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask clarifies my skin. After using it my skin looks brighter and there is still a little bit moisture left on my skin. I like that this mask has Manuka honey in it, which is healing and soothing on the skin. The mask does have a slight Eucalyptus smell but not bothersome.
It feels like the mask cleans my pores. It also helps when you are having a breakout, as it contains salicylic acid that helps to gently exfoliate your skin by removing the dead skin cell that builds up acne. I would not suggest using it too often since it will be too drying for your skin.
Sometimes I do double masking with Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask. What I mean is, after I use the mask then wash my face, I will continue it with the Body Shop Rose Fresh Plumping mask to pamper my skin and add a boost of moisture. Together it is a 30 minutes routine that you can do on weekends when you have more time to spend in the morning.
The only thing I do not like about Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask is the mask dries so fast on its own. When I forget using it for 2 weeks, it started to harden up in the jar. I am still going to repurchase it though. If you like a quick, smooth and effective clay mask to help decongested your skin; Swisse Manuka Honey Detoxifying Facial Mask is definitely recommended.
