It is always so difficult to get rid of acne scars for me. It can take 4 to 6 months to fade an acne scar. That is why I always look for brightening products like vitamin C, arbutin, and niacinamide to help fade my acne scar faster. Hirus scar post-acne is a spot treatment that focuses on acne scars. It will not help with active acne, only for the after-acne spot. You know those red, brown-ish, or sometimes a bit purple spots that are left behind after acne is gone.
I think for 10 ml of product, Hirus scar post-acne is quite pricey. But if you only have a few Scars, it can last longer since you only need a tiny bit of product. I have using it for 2 months to be able to notice the result. I use it mostly during nighttime, at the last step of my night skincare routine. Even when I use retinol, I would wait for a while before putting it on Hirus scar gel on my acne scar. After 2 months, I would say that Hirus scar post-acne definitely helps to speed up the fading of my acne scar. I would not say that it is entirely because I also use brightening products like vitamin c and niacinamide. Here is the picture I took when the acne on my chin is still inflamed and red and the fading acne scar progress after 2 months of using Hirus scar post-acne.
As you can see, in one month the acne scar is less red. Then in the second month, it looks like the acne scar is almost gone. Mostly I use it only at night time because in the morning I tend to forget to use Hirus scar post-acne. Maybe if I use it twice a day diligently, the acne scar could fade even faster. Even though it is pricey, I would say it’s worth the price and it really does the job well. I would repurchase it again when it’s run out.
