Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum is a game-changer anti-aging product for me. The best anti-aging serum I tried so far. At first, I was hesitant to try it, as it is a very expensive serum. You know sometimes you tried an expensive serum and you secretly do not want it to work, because if it works well that means you have to continue to purchase it despite the heavy price.
It all started with a travel-size product. When I purchase my beloved Sulwhasoo First care serum package, Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum comes along within the package in a travel size of 5 ml. My first impression of the product was, that the serum is thick. Unlike Sulwhasoo FCAS which has thick watery consistency, Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum has an almost gel-like consistency, but it is not gel. The smell is amazing. If you like the sort of ginseng smell of Sulwhasoo basic line product, you will like this smell. Don’t worry, the scent is not overpowering and it went away as you apply it to your skin.
I applied generously with the travel size. I thought “It might not work for me anyway, and it’s a free product anyway. I Might as well use it”. I go to bed, and to my surprise the next morning my skin is glowing. The serum softens the appearance of the fine lines on my face, my pores are blurred and I look like I have been well-rested the night before.
I continue using the serum. The 5 ml travel size only last up to 4 times used. Then I am contemplating, whether I should buy the full size. There are 30ml and 50 ml options. I finally decide to get the biggest size. After using it for 2 months, I am like “wow, this serum doing something to my skin”. I have oily skin which is identical to large pores appearance. But somehow it looks smaller. I know there is no such thing as reducing pore size. As you grow older, your skin loses its elasticity, which causes your skin to stretch and sag, making pores appear larger. I think Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum helps with my skin elasticity, which makes it look smaller. My skin also looks healthier and even-toned.
It is now, my must-have anti-aging serum. Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum nourishes and moisturizes my skin. I love the full-size packaging; it is a golden pump bottle with a luxurious design. It is complementing my retinol routine perfectly. When my skin feels dehydrated or on my retinol routine, I will use Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum together with Sulwhaso FCAS, Iunik beta-glucan serum, moisturizer, and top it off with Sulwhasoo sleeping mask. Note that sometimes if you layer so many hydrating/moisturizing products at night routine, it can feel thick on the face. This combination will work just fine if your room temperature is below 24 Celsius degrees. However, if your room temperature is above 25 Celsius degree, chances are your skin will feel uncomfortable.
I would say if you are over 30 years young, Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum is definitely a great investment for your skin. But of course, if you can try the travel size, try it first. See if you like it.
